The Alexander Oceanfront Resort resides in the heart of Miami Beach, Florida. Originally built in 1963, the Alexander has provided vacation fun for over 30 years. In 1997, the resort underwent an expansive renovation project in order to better serve their guests. Since it's remodeling, the resort has received a four star rating. of a hotel room. The Alexander is conveniently located near all of Miami's most popular attractions including South Beach's famed historic Art Deco District, the exclusive shops at Bal Harbor, the Everglades National Park, the Bayside Marketplace and Coconut Grove.

All Suites at the Alexander

The Alexander Oceanfront Resort is an all suite vacation playground with 150 suites spread out over 17 floors. All of the one and two bedroom suites are tastefully decorated in the Caribbean style. Each suite offers guests uninterrupted views of either the Intercoastal waterway or the sparkling blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The balcony is a wonderful place to enjoy a beautiful sunrise or a refreshing cocktail after a relaxing day at the beach. Suites range in size from 1000 square feet to 1250 square feet. equipped kitchens and two bathrooms.

The Alexander also provides it's guests with a variety of amenities and services. All rooms are air conditioned and feature two televisions with Cable, an AM/FM alarm clock, single and multi-line telephones with voicemail, a working desk, hairdryer and modem lines for computer hook-up. Irons and ironing boards are available upon request. Some suites also have microwaves, ceiling fans and whirlpool tubs. For added convenience, the resort also provides turndown service, maid service and wake-up service. Suite service with menu is also available daily from 7am to 11pm. The resort has a guest laundry room but also provides laundry and dry cleaning service. Daily newspapers are provided for all guests.

property and still enjoy a relaxing and memorable vacation. Need to cool off from the hot sun? The Alexander's two lagoon-shaped pools are the perfect reprieve. Soak in the beauty of the tropical landscape while listening to the lulling sounds of a cascading waterfall. Private poolside cabanas are available for rental. Sun worshippers can cool down with a refreshing cocktail from the poolside bar. Two Jacuzzis are the ideal place to spend time during those cooler nights. Located on the beach, the resort provides travelers with excellent beachside service. Escape the sun in one of the cabanas or enjoy a game of beach volleyball. The resort also offers various water activities for guests such as kayaking, snorkeling, banana boat rides and jet-skis. Fishing and sailing activities are located nearby as well as tennis courts and a superb golf course. Allow the concierge to set up tee times. For those who like to test their luck, a casino cruise sets sail within several miles of the resort.

The Alexander is also home to the Aveda Concept Salon. Guests can treat themselves to a massage, facial, manicure, pedicure or new hair style. For those who can't go without their exercise, no need to fear, the resort has it's own fitness center. A Central Weight System, treadmills and exercise bikes will guarantee that travelers' won't put on the dreaded vacation pounds. After a hard workout, unwind in the steam room. Business travelers have at their disposal a twenty four hour business center. High-speed Internet, Microsoft Windows programs, faxing, typing and copying services are all available. Banquet and conference facilities are also located on the property.

Dining at the Alexander

The Alexander is home to the world renowned Shulas Steakhouse. The restaurant provides diners with a glorious view of the resort's two pools or the Atlantic Ocean. Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, Shulas has been serving Certified Angus beef , chicken, pasta, and fresh local seafood including succulent lobster to satisfied diners for several years. After dinner, guests can wind down with a nightcap and enjoy nightly entertainment in the No Name Lounge. The Garden Terrace Restaurant offers guests a beautiful ocean view to accompany their breakfast while the Top of the Falls Restaurant is a great place to enjoy lunch in a laid back, tropical atmosphere.
